Homemade Brownies Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:
  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal of the brownies.
  2. Melt the Butter: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  3. Mix Sugar and Butter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until well combined and smooth.
  4. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs to the butter-sugar mixture, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the semisweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Pour Batter into Pan: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached. Do not overbake; you want the brownies to be fudgy and moist.
  9. Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy!
